In October 2019 the Mikiko Sato Gallery showed a large solo exhibition of the artist
Miyuki Tsugami on the occasion of the 30-year town twinning between Hamburg and Osaka. Past, present and future merge into painted time-landscapes in her works. The direct experience of a place and its history always forms the basis of her works. In recent years, Miyuki Tsugami has realized numerous and impressive exhibitions in various museums, including the Ueno Royal Museum Gallery Tokyo, the Nagasaki Art Museum and Taipei Fine Arts Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, Hayama, Kanagawa, Japan and many more.
We are very pleased that the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and the Museum Art Maebashi have included works by Miyuki Tsugami in their collections. The National Museum of Modern Art has one of the largest and most important art collections in Japan.
