      It is a great pleasure for us to introduce Chisei Kobayashi to you today. The artist into one of three young artists we were able to win for our gallery as part of the current group exhibition New Japanese Painting. After graduating from Tohoku University of Arts and Design in 2017, Kobayashi has already participated in a number of group exhibitions in Japan. Awarded the Excel Tower Prize of the JR Tower ARTBOX in 2019. With New Japanese Painting, her work is now publicly visible outside of Japan for the first time.       From April to September 2020, the Collins Gallery of the Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut, will be the exhibition location for one of the largest salt installation by the artist Motoi Yamamoto. Under the exhibition title Salt - Tracing memories, Yamamoto will create an approximately 1.000 square feet work made of salt. The process can be viewed by visitors.
