GROUP EXHIBITION: MOTOI YAMAMOTO - SUDHAUS - KUNST MIT SALZ UND WASSER - BAD ISCHL - JANUAR 20 - OCTOBER 31, 2024

The vital elements salt and water have always been determining factors in the entire region until today. The main central exhibition of the Capital of Culture is therefore dedicated to these thematic areas with objects, film and photographic works as well as installations related to salt and water; also metaphorically seen as "salt of life" and with reference to the motto of the Capital of Culture "Culture is the new salt". The art projects around the theme of water deal with the burning problems of the disappearing glaciers and the increasing water shortage worldwide. The exhibition is accompanied by the conference "Water is the gold of the future - the somewhat different climate conference" with international experts.

Without the abundant wood in the Salzkammergut, the extraction of salt would not have been possible. So the topics of salt and water are supplemented with (historical) contributions around wood.
